If you can't be in Lisbon to learn, Cristina's course is the next best thing! Two months have passed and it has been an amazing experience. The door is now open to a new and exciting language and culture.

I had planned on taking a course at a college with 30 other students. After taking a course online with Cristina, I found out how much easier and more effective it is learning one-on-one online. First of all, I learn in the comfort of my home office. Secondly, the focus of the teacher is solely on me. I soon realised how quickly I was able to progress because of the focused attention. Cristina is attentive to my learning style and adapts her course so I learn in the most efficient manner. Another bonus is that I am able to record the video conversation and refer back to it. I also love that Cristina is from Lisbon so I am getting European Portuguese instruction from a true native speaker.

A perfect teacher, reviewed by a teacher!

Cristina's lessons are the best language lessons I have experienced. Her lessons are perfect for me and I learn more with her than I have in my years here in Portugal. She explains grammar well and provides excellent activities for consolidation and practise. As a language teacher myself I recognise someone who knows her stuff and knows how to teach it! My spoken Portuguese has improved hugely as Cristina makes me speak at the start of each lesson and that is exactly what I need. Cristina possesses the ability to keenly assess her students’ level of language proficiency and who adapts lessons and assignments to meet her students’ needs. She is also extremely personable. I am particularly impressed with the quality of Cristina’s on-line instruction. We sit in two different countries on different continents and through technology successfully mirror the experience of live instruction.

Professional, relaxed, dedicated, skilled, Miss Vasconcelos is THE language instructor for any of you seeking to learn or improve your Portuguese. Over the last two decades I've experienced many Portuguese teachers of varying capabilities and training. Cristina Vasconcelos is by far the best language teacher I've yet to know. She has all the qualifications and competence, which she combines with her professionalism, her punctuality and her easy-going nature.
